  • Manav Seva Sansthan (MSS)

    “Manav Seva Sansthan (MSS)” believes in itself as “a place to serve the people”. It is a non-profitable and non-governmental organization established by a group of committed social workers and volunteers in the year 1987 and Registered under Indian Society Registration Act – 21, 1860. The organization is also registered under FCRA 2010 and exempted under Income Tax Act under section 12AA. Manav Seva Sansthan continues to make efforts for the betterment of the marginalized, deprived, vulnerable, and ignored sections of society by giving them a platform through its creative programs and activities. It believes in the dignity of people and enhancing their capacity to overcome their own problems. It works with the deprived and the most vulnerable in their struggle against poverty, sufferings, and injustice.

     

    MSS is working in rural and urban areas of Uttar Pradesh with a belief that problems always exist together with their causes and likely solutions. This presents an opportunity to resolve problems by addressing the causes with a community based approach.

    Key Issues we have been working on…

    • Natural resources and disaster management  .
    • Health and nutrition including HIV/AIDS, maternal, adolescent and reproductive child health ,
    • Environment and sanitation with safe drinking water ,
    • Rights of urban & rural  poor communities , with special focus on unorganized sector workers ,
    • Child rights with especial focus on deprived and vulnerable  children ,
    • Sustainable Livelihood and food security with institutional development ,
    • Socio-economic empowerment of women and girls  ,
    • Basic elementary education for all [especially girls’ education ] ,
    • Promotion and protection of human rights for all downtrodden and marginalized people.
